Master Planning of the Memphis Necropolis WHS

The project is intended to restore the Memphis Necropolis WHS to its pristine condition by removing all structures that have been erected in the vast area for many years and that did not respect and enhance the historical and archaeological nature of the Memphis Necropolis with its 123 pyramids (45 major pyramids + 78 minor ones). The Master Plan emphasizes the integrity and unity of the entire Necropolis as an indivisible archaeological site while exposing and celebrating the greatness of the 400 year architectural experiment of building the 123 pyramids, mastabs, temples and tombs
